Saif Ali Khan wouldn’t mind essaying a ‘classy gangster’ on big screen

Saif Ali Khan wouldn't mind essaying a 'classy gangster' on big screen“Phantom” actor Saif Ali Khan says he wouldn’t mind essaying a “classy gangster” on the big screen, but doesn’t see himself fit into an on screen version of real life mafia don Haji Mastan.

When asked about films on gangs of Mumbai, and if he would like to do characters on the lines of Haji Mastan, Saif said: “Haji Mastan is a superb character… It is a very deadly character. But I can’t do the role of Haji Mastan bhai. That is something Ajay Devgn can do.”

Ajay had played a character inspired from Mastan in Milan Luthria’s “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”.

Saif said that he wouldn’t prefer playing a gangster using ‘tapori’ language, but something more sophisticated.

“I’d love to be a classy gangster. It would be an interesting character to do such… I’ll have to do something different since people have already done this genre so many times,” he said and added that he’s eager to play different characters in his future projects.
