Holly celebs & Kim Kardashian’s Sheer Jumpsuit & Many Questionable Fashion Choices To Hit The LACMA Red Carpet

his weekend’s LACMA Art+Film Gala may’ve boasted a star-studded guest list, but the outfits that hit the red carpet were a little less desirable.

A heavily pregnant Kim Kardashian donned yet another see-through outfit while Diane Kruger, Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek (who are all usually so fashion-forward) wore a bizarre mix of ensembles.

However, there were some winning looks. Reese Witherspoon proved that sometimes playing it safe pays off and opted for a glam strapless black number while Leonardo DiCaprio’s rumoured finance Kelly Rohrbach showed off her figure in a stunning monochrome dress.

Kim Kardashian, who’s due to give birth this month, stepped out in a sheer lace jumpsuit by her Givenchy designer BFF Riccardo Tisci. The outfit, which was very similar to the the look she wore to Tisci’s first-ever NYFW presentation, was incredibly daring but looked more like lingerie than a red carpet dress. [Photo: Rex]

We’re not quite sure what to make of Diane Kruger’s outfit. The actress went for a bold two-piece design featuring a strapless sea-blue top with train and darker blue trousers. She contrasted the all-blue ensemble with pink lipstick and a matching clutch. [Photo: Rex]

Salma Hayek’s floor-sweeping Gucci gown, complete with festive red bow and matching clutch, sounds great in theory but something about it just wasn’t quite right. Perhaps it’s just a little too much pink? [Photo: Rex]

Always a bold dresser, Chloë Sevigny wore a textured lace Gucci gown featuring a kitschy fruit-and-animal print and flared sleeves. [Photo: Rex]

Saoirse Ronan was definitely one of the better dressed celebs. The 21-year-old looked pretty in a pink buttoned-down mini dress. [Photo: Rex]

Dakota Johnson left everything to the imagination in this slightly dowdy marigold yellow Gucci. But we have to give her points for her covetable velvety lipstick. Gorgeous. [Photo: Rex]

Actress Amber Valletta opted for a vampy strapless dress, complete with dramatic fur stole. [Photo: Rex]

Gwyneth Paltrow veered away from the sleek and slinky dresses she usually wears and opted for a frilly Gucci frock featuring ruffles, a sheer black overlay and wine-red flower at the neck. [Photo: Rex]

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a tiered mauve Gucci gown, which wouldn’t have been too bad if it wasn’t for the odd choker she teamed it with. Still, RHW can pull virtually anything off so still managed to look stunning. [Photo: Rex]

Like Kim, Naomi Campbell came dripping in Givenchy and even sported Riccardo Tisci as her date for the night. We reckon she definitely got the better of the Givenchy outfits, but her beige tiled gown from the brand’s recent collection was a little too scale-like for us to gush over. [Photo: Rex]

Reese Witherspoon’s slinky black strapless gown was the epitome of elegance – just like the actress herself. [Photo: Rex]

Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t walk the red carpet at the event he supports, but his gorgeous girlfriend Kelly Rohrbach did. The model stunned in a form-fitting dress, boasting one-shoulder detail and a mesh cut-out section at the waist.
